Cada hoja se inspecciona, se engrasa y se embala con discreción — la caja nunca revela que dentro hay una espada.

Arashi means storm — and the blade lives up to it, a folded Damascus edge run through with red details that glow like the colour of the forge flames it was born in. The bo-hi groove lightens the sword and quickens it through the air, made for precise, elegant practice. It is an entry katana with the drama of something far above its tier.

Forging & Steel

The Arashi is built on folded Damascus steel, its grain rippling like wind across water and lit with red accents that recall the heat of the quench. The bo-hi reduces weight and improves maneuverability, so the 72 cm blade tracks fast and clean through a cut and recovers quickly between strikes. Fittings carry the seasonal symbolism through: a carved copper tsuba with bamboo and cherry-blossom (sakura) motifs — strength and renewal — over a saya of light lacquered and painted wood that completes the storm theme. The tsuka is wrapped in white stingray leather with bamboo-shaped copper menuki and two bamboo mekugi, so the sword can be disassembled for care. At 1.2 kg and 103 cm with scabbard, it is well balanced as a training sword or a collection centrepiece, light enough for long drills yet handsome enough to display with pride.

Is it battle-ready?

Yes. The folded Damascus blade is sharpenable and the bo-hi keeps it light and quick, making the Arashi a genuine choice for martial-arts training as well as display. Browse the full katana range, or compare it with the Kouji and the Gōrudo.
