Shujin (主人) means master, or lord of the house — and this is the katana for the collector who wants exactly that: a genuine master-grade sword, a functional work of art that also commands the room. It is the centrepiece of a collection of traditional Japanese arms, not the starter blade.

Forging & Steel

The blade is built around a refined T10 tool-steel core wrapped in a Damascus outer layer that carries the hamon. The T10 core supplies hardness and edge strength; the folded Damascus skin adds a multi-layered structure that contributes flexibility and the flowing grain that no stamped steel can fake. That core-and-jacket construction is what lets the sword hold a hard cutting edge while keeping the resilience to survive heavy use. Forged the traditional way — bending, forging, hardening and polishing — it delivers superior cutting ability with the beauty of a composite blade.

Fittings

A hand-carved brass tsuba finished with gilded silver guards the hand and signals the grade. The saya is turned from solid wood imported from Brazil, dense and close-grained, and the tsuka is high-quality lacquered wood for a substantial, premium feel in the hand.

Is it battle-ready?

Yes. The T10-cored Damascus blade is sharpened and fully functional, with superior cutting ability — equally at home in serious practice or on the stand as a collector’s centrepiece. As a high-carbon composite it asks for the usual care: keep it clean, dry and lightly oiled between sessions.
