Forging & Steel
The blade is forged from high-performance Damascus steel, built up from many forge-welded layers and then hammered out so the grain reads as unique wavy patterns down the flat. That layering is the point: folding balances flexibility against hardness, giving a blade with genuine cutting resistance and an edge that bites. Each fold draws the grain into a pattern that belongs to this blade alone, so no two pieces read quite the same. The grey blade carries a black finish that throws the Damascus grain into sharp relief and sets a deliberate contrast with the white sageo.
The mounts are master-grade. A tsuba of pure copper and sculpted gilded brass anchors the dressing, the saya is turned from lacquered magnolia wood, and the tsuka is wrapped over genuine stingray leather for a firm, lasting grip that holds true through repeated draws and cuts.
