Miyamoto carries the name of the most famous swordsman Japan ever produced — and a blade that wears it cannot be ordinary. We forged this katana for the collector ready to leave wall-hangers behind: a refined T10 carbon-steel blade, differentially hardened so a true hamon rises along the edge, run through with a bo-hi that lightens the sword and gives it that low, singing draw. It is a statement piece that earns its name on the shelf as readily as in the hand.

Forging & Steel

The edge is forged from high-carbon T10 tool steel, clay-tempered so a hard, keen cutting edge sits against a more resilient spine. That differential hardening is what makes the hamon visible — not a printed line but the real boundary between the quench-hardened edge and the softer body that absorbs the shock of a cut. Polished gray and cut with a fuller, the blade is balanced for clean draws and disciplined tatami cutting, tracking fast and true through the target. The sculpted copper tsuba reads as a statement of status and warrior heritage, a fitting nod to Musashi himself. The saya fuses carved copper and brass for a strong, timeless sheen that protects the blade between sessions, while the tsuka is wrapped in stingray leather for a grip that stays secure through repeated cuts. Every fitting is built to the standard the name demands.

Is it battle-ready?

Yes. The Miyamoto is a sharpened, functional T10 blade suited to tatami and bamboo cutting in trained hands — and equally at home on the stand as the centrepiece of a serious collection. Browse more in our katana range, or compare it against the Densetsu and Kangeki T10 blades.
